Spoke-less wheel Bicycle
Monday, December 13, 2010 Sainath Sriram No comments
Amazing bike concept designed by Bradford Waugh. This bicycle, if you observe doesn't have any spokes to provide mechanical support to the bicycle. But how the bicycle runs? Actually, the wheel doesn't need any air tube either but has a cushioned rubber material that supports the wheel and the inner side of the wheel has some gear slots which is in turn connected to a chain system that will make the bike move. If this bike took its realistic form, I'm sure this can make a revolutionary impact in bicycle riding.

You will definitely remember Mahatma Gandhi, the great Indian freedom fighter when you see this image. Obviously this design is based on a spinning thread wheel used to extract thread from raw cotton in olden days. And Gandhi used this much in his last days. I do not know whether this gadget has followed the traditional design but it exactly resembles it. This is a clock actually which is mechanically aligned so that it can display time when you wind it using the set up provided. This clock runs on AA battery and the creative thing is it will display time in 2 ways..minutes outside of nickel plate and hours inside the nickel plate.
